28th July 2008. 3 of us went off to see Norwich play a friendly against Spurs. It was a perfect evening lovely and warm but good job it was only a friendly because Spurs won 5-1 which was ok as i am a Spurs fan, god knows what the score would have been if Spurs were playing seriously. Nice to go on an activity in the evening but very hard to get people to come.
24th July 2008. The best weather i can remember on an activity day but a disappointing turnout, what more can i do ? Answers on a postcard please. Those of us that did make it excelled ourselves, we went for a walk along the busy beach at Mundesley to look at the sights and there were quite a few i can tell you, then crossed the road to Gold Park, put the net up that i bought specially and played volleyball, which was good fun then played cricket with some impressive catching. Then true to form went and had a beer in The Haig. But wait we were not finished! Some of us then went on to play tennis for an hour at Cromer Tennis Club. All in all we had a lot of fun and got some good exercise.

16th March 2007 We went to Fakenham races and enjoyed the event, they had a massive tv screen erected which meant that you could follow the horses all round the course. It was very colourful and a few horses fell at the fences. PREVIOUS DIARY ENTRIES
19TH JUNE 2006 This is the beginning. Found a suitable property in North Walsham for an activity/day centre, not ideal but a start and has a good feel. The vendor has accepted my offer
20thJUNE 2006 Two of the guys got together and sprayed primer and fitted new wheels to a 4x4 which one of them owns.
21st JUNE 2006 Three of us watched England play Sweden on the big screen in our temporary clubhouse. Brilliant goal by Cole but Engand shouldn't have let in that goal 5 mins from the end. Fair result.
Two of us took 50 fish including 18 inch long koi out of a pond, replaced the lining and returned the fish for a client as work experience. All the fish survived !
22nd JUNE 2006 Six of us turned up for our usual weekly activity session and played tenpin bowling at Strikers, we went for a meal afterwards. One of the lads was on form and scored 192 which is a very good score. We have only beaten that three times in 3 years.
23rd June 2006 As only three of us turned up for five a side football, which was going to be outside this week, it had to be cancelled which was a shame as the weather was excellent and I was looking forward to playing. See notice board.
Two of the lads decided to go uptown to Norwich and try their luck in one of the clubs. E-mail me if you want to know how they got on !

25th June 2006 Get together at our temporary club for a barbeque and to watch England play Equador on our big screen. I won my bet that Equador wouldn't score. Watched a video of the skydive that i did a few weeks ago.

30th June 2006 Enough guys turned up for football this week so we didn't have to resort to plan B and play tennis. The score was close at 10-9
1st July 2006 Two of the lads decided that they would get up early and go fishing at Gimmingham. They say that they caught a lot of roach and some 4 pound tench, not sure that i believe them, more like a couple of roach and a 2 pounder.
I'm not going to comment on the England football match !
4th July 2006 The two lads doing up the 4x4 have started spraying the finishing coat and its looking good. They went off for a few games of snooker after.
5th July 2006. Is it hot or what ! everyone is annoying me, be glad when its back to normal. Two lads are on a keep fit kick and joined a gym as well as playing football, can they keep it up ?
6th July 2006. Good turn out for the activity group, we are getting lazy in this heat, decided to play tenpin again and go down to the pub garden, and then to finish it off in style got a takeaway curry. The England football team took a real verbal bashing.
7th July 2006. Football night, not enough turned up to play . Plan B, which was to play tennis, was thwarted as all the courts were booked so we came up with plan C and played short tennis in the hall which was good fun. After, we went to our favourite pub in Bacton for live entertainment, The Poachers Pocket, and had one of our best nights ever.

30th July. Bought the fishing boat off the guy at Sheppey, he crashed the boat into the slipway wall when we went out into the harbour for a test drive ! impressed with handling but needs tidying up. 170 mile tow back to Norfolk.
1st August. Two of us took the boat out on Wroxham Broad to check it out. We had trouble with the slipway as it is gravel and in very poor condition with pot holes. Every thing went ok, anchored up and did a bit of fishing .Should get the licence to go on the other Broads next week then we can give it a real trial.
3rd August. Too packed with kids at Strikers to get a game of tenpin bowling and very noisy, went for the quiet of The Bluebell pub and played some pool outside in the garden.

We decided to fish for 2 hours ( until the pub opened ).Not very productive the winner only caught a bream and a tiny roach, i came second with a nice bream, the other lad didn't catch anything which was probably due to him being hungry and eating all of his bait.Went on to the Butchers Arms for a nice meal.
For latest results of tournament see the new web page ' Tournament 2006'.
18th August. Four of us played short tennis at the Sports Centre whilst another exercised his arm at the bar. Went on for some karaoke at the Poachers Pocket at Bacton three of the guys sang some songs.
21st August. I went the general meeting of Goala Active in Norwich. The main topic was whether they would continue to support playing at North Walsham. I was not happy about some of the comments made by Chris the manager that the group was shabily run and that he doubted our enthusiasm and commitment. it was obvious that he had already decided to stop Goala's involvement at North Walsham. There was a turnaround at the last minute when someone piped up and said that he thought that we were being unfairly treated and they now want to try again with a different format.
Without more volunteers and funding i cant see Goala surviving beyond April 2007.For more details of the meeting give me a call.See Notice Board.

Give ISU's website a look www.isu-norfolk.org

21st September.2006. Lovely hot sunny day too good for physical exercise so we decided to exercise our brains and went to the pub garden.
