Back on Track

If you have experience of a mental health problem and are active, this group will help with introducing you to new friends and organised activities. Male only group at present based in North Walsham.

UniteNorfolk

Unite has activities to give people the opportunity to connect with other people and create new interests and friendships. They meet at several locations around Norfolk such as North Walsham, Aylsham and Norwich.

Time out

Time out is a drop in for people who have experienced difficulties with their mental health and might benefit from the chance to have tea and a chat in a friendly environment.

You might like to use the services of the groups counsellor, have an Indian head massage or just chat with others who have also had similar experiences.

They meet every Friday between 11am and 2pm at the Sheringham Community Centre ( by the fire station on the coast road ) Contact Kevin Silvester on 07810 420368.

 

Yesu

This is a community centre with a comfortable lounge and coffee bar serving hot and cold drinks and light snacks, there is a pool table and computer games for entertainment.

The premises at 15 High Street Sheringham are open on Wednesdays 10-3 and Saturdays 11-2 and there is a mental health group every Tuesday from 1- 4.30 with a variety of activities on offer.

There are also premises at 41 Bull Street, Holt. which is a mental health group and open on Wednesdays from 10 - 3pm.

Fit Together

 This is not strictly a group but they have a programme of free organised and led walks from as little as 1 mile and in a location where you can have refreshments and a chat after the walk. In April they will include cycle trips.

Stalham Mens Group

This group meets every Wednesday between 2 and 4pm. It was founded and now run by Paul and Mervyn .

 There is a relaxed atmosphere and you can sit and chat or play pool. There is a subscription charge of £2 but tea and biscuits and pool are free.

There are sometimes other activities and outings available. New members have to be introduced so if you are interested please contact me .

Voyager

This is a community group and meets every Wednesday from 10 am until 4pm in the St Nicholas Hall, Vicarage Street, North Walsham.

From 10 until 12 there is a drop in session with refreshments and the days papers, and also the chance to play board games or catch up with friends.

There is then lunch time followed by an afternoon activity. This could be anything from an history talk, art and craft, or gentle exercise.

The group is open to anyone who would like to come and make new friends, and a variety of different activities.

Swan  ( Supporting Women and Activities Network )

This informal group meets from 11am to 1pm on Wednesdays at the recreation ground youth club in Stalham, where women can take part in creative activities or just chat over a cup of tea. Unfortunately i don't have a phone number yet.
